Happy Sunday, and happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! Claire is our hostess this week at the Paper Players with a marvelous color palette for us to play with:
I usually try to think outside the box with color challenges, but this week I just had to go floral! I haven't used the Layers of Beauty bundle for a while and these seemed like lovely colors for it:
I diecut, stamped and colored these beautiful roses with the challenge colors, then added a bit of a Coastal Cabana wash in between the images where there was a lot of white space. I did that so that it would blend a wee bit better with the fun diecut background paper using some Coastal Cabana DSP and the Scalloped Contour dies:
I also added an embossed mat in the background as well as a sentiment tag. The sentiment is from Paeprtrey ink on a Tailor Made Tag die. I think these purple roses are just beautiful! ReplyDeleteThis will forever be one of my favourite floral sets LeAnne and I will never part with it! These purple blooms are gorgeous - and the infill with Coastal Cabana was well worth the extra effort as it tied in with the scalloped panel perfectly. So pretty! Happy Mother's Day to you!

ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely perfect way to use the colours. I love this stamp bundle and love the way you've used the Coastal Cabana in behind it. It really pops the whole spray of flowers. The subtle background texture adds elegance and the tiny tag is perfect too. :-)
