PP565 Thankful Tic Tac Toe

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Happy Halloween, too!  And time for a new Paper Players challenge with the amazing Ann as our hostess!  She's got a fun tic-tac-toe grid for us all this week:

I ticked off quite a few of these boxes on my card today!  My main focus was the right column down of die cut, leaves/pumpkins and embellishments, but I also have stitching, patterned paper and twine!  Check it out:

I started with the Just Add Ink sketch:

I wanted to use this wonderful fall embossing folder, so I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with it, then added some Bumblebee cardstock, cut with first a Cozy Cup Coaster die from the Greetery.  I trimmed it down with a Stitched Shapes square die, then used the circle dies from the same set for my Harvest Meadow DSP and Very Vanilla, on which I mounted my little watercolored pumpkin and leaves!

To make my pumpkin, I swooshed some Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron inks on a piece of watercolor paper, then diecut them with an Impression Obsession die.  The Old Olive leaves are from the Seasonal Swirls dies, and the sentiment is from Sparkle of the Season, diecut with an Ornate Frames die and embellished with a retired Candy Dot!  Oh, and I added some Old Olive Linen Thread to my pumpkin for fun!  I really enjoyed making this card and I rarely use yellow hues, so I was happy to challenge myself to use Bumblebee, which is really a nice fall color!

I hope you'll play with our tic-tac-toe grid, they're always fun!  Check out what the DT created over at the Paper Players blog....then share yours with us too!  Thanks for popping in today!

I took these a couple weeks ago....it's getting too cold for them now! I just love those big eyes, LOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS509 & CTD666 Fall Blessings

Happy Saturday, peeps!  It's done nothing but RAIN here the last couple of days so I was able to spend a little time in my craft room gearing up to make some Thanksgiving cards!  I used the slimline sketch from FMS and the colors from Color Throwdown:

I got these Papertrey stamps a couple years ago and I think I've only used them once or twice!  I thought they would work well with the sketch, so here we go:

I stamped the images in Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip, then used a W+9 die to cut them out.  They're mounted on a panel of Very Vanilla that was first diecut with an Ornate Layer die, then embossed with a fall leaves embossing folder.  I fussy cut a sentiment from the same set and added some enamel dots.  Before adhering everything to a 3x6" card, I lightly stamped a little image from the retired Timeless Textures:

These are great fall colors!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

My girls!

AYSI262 Prince of Peace

Happy Friday, stampers!  It's time for a new As You See It challenge....and I love this "Fill in the Blank":

For me, the one thing that sums up Christmas is our ultimate gift: the birth of Jesus, our Saviour!  I used a Nativity die along with several other dies to create my card today:

I used a stitched panel die from the Stockings dies to cut a panel from Crumb Cake, and I stamped a portion of the retired Christmas Collage background stamp on top in Crumb Cake ink, sponging the edges a bit.  I adhered my Early Espresso Nativity scene on top:

My background was a piece of Evening Evergreen, diecut with the Scalloped Contours die, then embossed with the Wintery embossing folder and sponged with white craft ink.  I added a banner for my sentiment and a gold diecut star, along with a few other gold stars scattered around:

I added a sentiment with a little gold Zig Painty pen dot on the inside of my Crumb Cake base:

Finally, for my layout, I used the Make the Cards sketch from their current challenge:

I struggled with the colors on this card, I am thinking I should have done a dark blue background, so maybe I'll try another one again!  Meanwhile...this is it!  So what sums up Christmas for you? I hope you'll check out what the design team members created over at the As You See It blog and share your creation with us as well!

Cassidy's karate club participated in their local Halloween parade last night!  She and her friend Avery were thrilled because they got to carry the GLOW IN THE DARK staffs!  And it was a perfect night for a parade!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:10-12

IB193 Joyful Christmas Friends

Hey there, stampers!  Time for a new Inspired By challenge!!!  Danni always has a knack for finding adorable inspirations for us!  Check these out:

Absolutely adorable!  And here's our optional sketch, which I did use this week:

Now how in the world could you choose between these two?  That little acorn was just so stinkin' cute, but I did go with the Christmas one in the end!!  I pulled out some real vintage sets from my stash and just started stampin'!

My main images are from SU's retired Jolly Bingo Bits; the background stamping is from several different sets from Cosmo Cricket (which I've had for years and don't think I've ever inked up!!!) and Purple Onion as well as the tiniest stamp set in my entire collection, the little red star, from Close to My Heart!

I did some stamping with one of the Stitchery stamps on the edges, added some black and white plaid DSP, and finished it off with a "joy" banner (Cosmo Cricket)and some Real Red braided trim:

The inside sentiment is also from Cosmo Cricket:

I had lots of fun creating this...a little busy (I seem to be saying that a lot lately) but still fun!  I hope you'll find some fall or holiday inspiration from our prompts this week!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Share it with us at Inspired By!

When my nephew and his family visited Montana, they stayed with a friend who happens to be a wildland firefighter!!  Jameson and Sawyer were thrilled to get into the big truck he uses on the job:

But Jameson might have to grow a little bit to fill up this helmet!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

A Special Halloween Card Plus Cards from Friends

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I have a fun card to share with you and it is a CASE from my special friend Karen! She sent me this neat Halloween card with a cool fun fold inside:

Aren't those papers cute?  And here's the inside; I love it!

I CASEd her fun fold (it's very similar to the diamond-fold cards I recently made) for a very special someone; I used a bunch of retired Halloween sets and dies from my stash:

And here's my inside:

Karen used a velcro dot to hold hers together but since I couldn't find mine, I used a couple of little magnets!  Now, on to some more goodies from my friends!  My stamping buddy Sandy, who is always SO generous to me, gave me a couple gifts in this ADORABLE bag she made herself!  The postcard image is printed on clear acetate...it's amazing!!  I can't stop looking at it!

Oh my gosh, so cute!

And this stunning card is from my friend Doris; the leaf is red foil and it moves back & forth!

My Paper Players teammate Nancy sent me this gorgeous fall beauty: I need to do one of those raised sentiments like she did:

And when my sweet friend paid me a surprise visit from Michigan, she brought this cutie with her:

I am so blessed to have crafty friends!  Enjoy your day and be blessed too!

RRCB170 Fall Flowers

Hi there!  Time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we give our older stamps some love!  Here's the photo prompt Jane has for us today....lots of possibilities on this one:

Since I just made a couple of pumpkin cards, I thought I'd concentrate on that bucket of flowers; I pulled out Basket of Wishes (2016) and Buffalo Check (2018) to make a sweet country-themed birthday card:

I stamped the basket on some Very Vanilla cardstock (which I should have known better to do, as my image warped a lot!) and stamped the design twice behind it, making it a wee bit higher because I wanted to stamp a third image and place it in front to give it some dimension.  All the flowers were colored with inks and an aquapainter. I fussy-cut the third image and popped it up to make the basket look nice and full:

I stamped a panel of Very Vanilla with Buffalo Check in Old Olive, added a piece of Cinnamon Cider DSP and a panel of Old Olive, diecut with a Stitched Shapes square die, then cut in half to make it into a rectangle!  I stamped a sentiment for the front:

and another for the inside, and my card was finished!

I am also going to enter this at the Double D Challenge this week, as their theme is sunflowers, and the Shopping Our Stash challenge, which is flowers!!

I am sure you'll be able to find some inspiration from our prompt this week...just be sure that your stamps are at least a year old, and be sure to tell us their age!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Check out what the other team members did over at Retro Rubber!

Pumpkin decorating the easy way---stickers and markers--no mess!!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood."  John 1:1-4

ICC102 Pumpkin Wreath

Happy Monday, peeps!  So happy to have you stop by today!  I have two cards using the beautiful gingham DSP from You're A Peach, which I totally forgot about until I made my Paper Players card yesterday!  Why was I hoarding it?  I loved the sketch from Inspire.Create, and I needed a pumpkin-themed card so it was perfect!

Our neighbors are an older couple and they have a fabulous garden every year!  He gave us some pumpkins (which I didn't photograph because it was dark when I made this card!!!) but I thought it would be nice to send them a thank-you card featuring pumpkins!  I used dies from Seasonal Swirls and cardstocks in all the colors of the pumpkins he gave us!

The wreath was cut from Soft Succulent with some extra Crumb Cake leaves, and the pumpkins are Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Lost Lagoon (ret), Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie; the sentiment is from Little Delights, cut with a Tasteful Label die:

And of course, the sentiment from Pretty Pumpkins was perfect for the inside:

While I had the pumpkin set out, as well as the gingham, I made another card.  For fun, I embossed the gingham with the Stitched Greenery die, then heat embossed the pumpkin with white embossing powder on Soft Succulent cardstock:

The "hello" is from Biggest Wish:

I think this is one of the loveliest colors!

Our harvest party at church was slightly damp, but it did stop raining long enough for us to have our bonfire, go on a hayride and make really, really good apple cider!

After the initial cloud burst, it stayed a little cloudy, but we were treated to a rainbow!

Dana became pretty adept at roasting hot dogs over the campfire:

By the time the hayride was ready, it was a beautiful evening!

But my favorite part is watching them make apple cider!  The apples go into the grinder, then the press, and then out comes the cider!  Wayne got a good workout--here's a short video! (Make sure you're on my actual blog to watch it, not on an email!)

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
