PP560 Peaceful Snowflakes

Hi stampers!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge....Joanne is our hostess with a fabulous sketch with THREES!  I love my threes!  (I just realized that I put my sentiment in the wrong place, but of course it's too late to make a new one, oops!)

I pulled out some Feels Like Frost DSP from last year along with some Balmy Blue glimmer paper to create three snowflakes from our newest Stitched Snowflake dies!  Here we go:

I used one die to cut the snowflakes, lining them up along the right edge, then I embossed the left edge with the embossed snowflake die from the same set (difficult to see in the photo).

To complement the snowy pinecone, I stamped a sentiment on Kraft cardstock in white and heat-embossed it , then diecut it and popped it up.  I also embossed a little Kraft strip with a little snowflake die and layered it along the edge of the DSP:

I am adding this to the Jingle Belles challenge as well, it's "Dashing Through the Snow"!  There are so many possibilities with this sketch, I can't wait to see what you all create!  Be sure to check out what the DT has created as well, hop on over to the Paper Players blog to check them all out!

We have had Cassidy all weekend, and yesterday we took a little day trip to Rock Hall, MD, which is on the Chesapeake Bay.  John wanted to look at some boats, so we went to a couple marinas, went to lunch at the "Admiral's Club" and also visited Chesapeake City.  It was a gorgeous day and although it wasn't real exciting for an 11-year-old, she was a good sport!  This was her favorite boat, or should I say, yacht! LOL!

I liked this vintage skipjack....check out the little star at the end of the prow!

And it had its own little matching dinghy...so cute!

And John just will not be serious for the camera!

More to come later!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

LeAnne! Your frosty paper is absolutely gorgeous! and you brought out those pinecones perfectly with your use of kraft!
I'm with you on that skipjack - especially since I envision Kevin Costner as the Captain! LOve that little star - and how about the carving - is it the name of the boat? What a gorgeous day you had!

I'm not ready for the real frosty snowflakes to fly, but I'll take your pretty ones any day! This is wonderful, LeAnne. Your boat choice is mine too, what pretty boat! Those perfectly placed shoes match it and the dingy so well LOL!!

Such a pretty card, LeAnne! I love those stitched snowflakes and have been on the fence about buying them. They look amazing with your DSP! We went to Chesapeake City a few years ago....beautiful place! And I too love Miss Cassidy's choice of boat! LOL More than what I could afford!! Looks like you had a beautiful day to visit there!

Love this, LeAnne! I bought this DSP last year because of cards we made at your stamp camp.

Danny and I went sailing with Penny and Pete on Saturday. It would have been so funny to run into you guys!! They are docked at a marina in Rock Hall, MD.

See you tonight!!

Your card is beautiful but I want to add that I just smile when I see all the love and quality time you put into your time with Cassidy, and I think it is truly awesome. How lucky are ALL of you.

Trying to comment again on this one! Something was screwy with my computer/Blogger yesterday and I couldn't tell if my comments were going through or not! I love this card and it's such a great mix of old and new products! I had to resist the new snowflake set but it's really hard after seeing this card. I especially love the sparkle and the itty bitty snowflakes on the Crumb Cake strip! Hope you're having a fun week!

LeAnne, I love those blue snowflakes against the DSP and the unexpected color combo. The kraft really does pop against the frosty blue. What fabulous photos and that matching dinghy is too darned cute. I can just imagine the places that skipjack has been!
