IB16 Hung Out To Dry

Happy Thursday, peeps!  It's time for another Inspired By challenge, a perfect one for a blustery spring day, of which we have had many!  One of my favorite smells is the one sheets and linens get after being hung on the washline, a bit like this:

My sweet, generous friend Teri gave me this SU set called Just A Line...can you believe it's from 1997?  I just love the line drawings that SU used to have!  And isn't it perfect for Laurel's inspiration photo?

I stamped this with Memento ink so I could use my Blends to color it in; the few colors that I didn't have Blends for, I used regular SU markers.  Those Blends really blend nicely--good name for them, LOL!  I did hand-draw the yellow gingham on the one apron, just for fun!

I tucked a little "hello" from Beautiful Bouquet under the sleeping kitty, a little baker's twine bow, and added some DSP from the Domestic Goddess line from a few years back for my background:

And on the inside, the sentiment, which I colored with a Pool Party Blend:

You might find other ways that this photo can inspire you...colors, spring, you name it!  We can't wait to see what you come up with, and be sure to get some more inspiration from the others on the DT at the Inspired By blog!

Wearing Mommy's glasses:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This stamp is timeless, LeAnne!! and the most perfect for our IB photo inspiration, too ... you are so right about the fragrance of laundry from the line - my mom hung 11 sets of sheets on her lines every week - even in winter!! and IRONED them! ohhhh did we sleep like angels on Thursday nights! I do hope I remembered to thank her for that...

Oh this is adorable, LeAnne! What a sweet scene, so perfect for the challenge. I'm with you, I love "vintage" SU. And what a job you did coloring! You hand drew the gingham? Amazing!
