Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, peeps!  I don't have any of my own cards to share today...I have been busy getting ready for a craft show and didn't even photograph anything I made yet!  But I did get a cute card in the mail from my friend Wendy and wanted to share it with you!  I posed it along with a little eggplant we got from the garden...it was so cute, I "embellished" it for Halloween:

Check out the schnozzola on that eggplant!  Something right out of Veggie Tales!  I tried to convince Cassidy that it came from the garden with the eyes already on it, but she wasn't buyin' it!  And I love Wendy's cool fold.....I will have to try that one myself!

And Cassidy got another adorable card in the mail, this time from Lisa Elton's granddaughter Penelope!  Check out the smile this card brought to Cassidy's face:

You can't see it here, but her little black dress is all SPARKLY!  Love it!  Thanks, Sweet P!

12 Kits of Occasions Thankful

Hi peeps!  If you're looking for my Paper Players post, you can check it out here!

I have a special post today!  I am honored that my sweet, uber-creative friend Michele at I Card Everyone asked me to be her guest designer for the 12 Kits of Occasions!  Wow!  In case you're not familiar with the 12 Kits, each month a designer on the team makes up a kit for the other designers to play with!  It's so fun to see what each designer creates with the same goodies. I wish I had thought to take a picture of ALL my goodies when I opened my bag...it was amazing!  (You can find all the ingredients that Michele sent me on the 12 Kits blog!). So let's get started!  The theme that Michele chose was "Thankful"!  Perfect for this time of the year!  Warning:  this post is photo-heavy!    I think this one was my favorite:

I used a swish of Wild Wasabi from Work of Art for the background, and added a green sparkly heart as a dot on the "i"!

The next one features a cool fold and diecut....I covered the front with some striped paper and added some sparkly elements:

Who could resist this cute little kitty?:

I colored her with some Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo inks then added a big element to her collar!

This card features a stunning doily and equally stunning wooden butterfly element:

I mounted it on a card embossed with the Cable Knit EF, added a diecut "thanks" and some delicate leaves.  Some pearls finished it off:

Here's another of my favorites!  I just love these typewriters; I diecut one of Michele's sentiments and stamped a little notepaper on it in Peekaboo Peach and added that cool green brad:

And oh, how I love this one....a beautiful bevy of leaves, partially diecut, stamped on watercolor paper!  I had a blast coloring these with every autumn hue in my stash!

I added some of Michele's designer paper, a little arrow from SU's Oh What Fun set in Peekaboo Peach), then rounded the corners and added some baker's twine:

Oh, a couple of sequins too!  Just check out the texture in that paper!

I had fun with this one too.....I pulled out a bunch of thanks/thank you stamps and filled in the lines on this fun paper:

I added some glimmer paper hearts, brads, and stamped flowers:

And last, but not least, I decorated the gift bag in which Michele sent all these goodies:

It's a good thing you can't see this rose up close, because I am not coordinated at creating them, but I gave it my best shot!  I added some more of those pretty doilies, and added a solid green one of my own; some delicate leaves, and a woodgrain thanks!  Now I just need a gift and a recipient for it!

I hope you will check out all the designers' creations to see how they used Michele's kit!  I can't wait to see them myself!  Thanks for popping in today!

My friend Linda wanted to know if Cassidy was still lining things up!  I just took this shot of her playing with her bath toys:

So I guess the answer is "Yes!"

Paper Players 319 Tic Tac Toe

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's my turn to host the Paper Players and this week, it's a Tic-Tac-Toe!  Wheee!  So many options!  Here's the grid:

For my card, I chose the left column:  red, Santa, and diecut, but it also fulfills the top row across, which is red, glitter and snowflakes!  I chose to make a little scene:

I used the Hearth & Home die along with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillsides to create my scene.  My sentiment is from Cosmo Cricket; I sponged the "siding" on the Crumb Cake card, added a red window frame, complete with a gingham curtain, snow in the corners and heaps on snow at the top and bottom:

And ho, ho, ho, who is that we see inside?

Jolly Saint Nick himself (Katy Sue's Silhouette Santas), placing a gift under a Lovely as a Tree Christmas tree!  They're stamped on Always Artichoke, which for some reason, is difficult for me to photograph!  The sentiment is from Amy R Stamps' Handy Christmas Greetings.  I added a few stamped snowflakes on the outside; the "snow" glitter is from Martha Stewart!

Now, I hope you'll find some inspiration in my tac-tac-toe board and play along with us!  Check out the amazing samples from the DT:

Cassidy got another Halloween card in the mail; this one was from my very first Stampin' Up! customer, Maryanne!  She loves funny cards, especially interactive ones, and this one did not disappoint!  It featured a little scene with three spooky characters that move along the bottom of the card when you pull the ribbon:

She loved the vampire-looking dude the best!

And check out the cool stuff she put on the spiderweb inside!  Neat!

Hope you have a wonderful day full of blessings!

FMS260 Sympathy

Happy Friday, peeps!  Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card this week and the FMS sketch was perfect:
I found this pretty paper from Simple Stories' I Am line:

I heat embossed the feather (Papertrey Doodle Feather) in white on vellum cardstock, then colored on the back with markers:

I added a horizontal panel dry embossed with a really old Cuttlebug embossing folder and a sentiment from Hero Arts stamped in Always Artichoke.  A pretty Soft Sky ribbon finished it off.

The final gift from the Halloween box, all the way on the bottom, was a cool Halloween sticker book!  You can tell by the serious look on her face she was trying to read all the words!

Thanks again for popping in!  Have a blessed day!

Christmas Cardinal

Hi peeps!  A Christmas card for you today, for four challenges!  I loosely used the Paper Craft Crew's sketch for this week, and the theme from Merry Monday is to use a bird:

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 216! PCC216 You are invited to play along with this weeks sketch. Open to ANY products. www.papercraftcrew.com

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration's challenge is to use washi tape, and the Christmas Card Challenge has an  "Anything Goes" challenge!  So here we go:

This cardinal image is an Itty Bitty stamp from Unity.  It was stamped in Real Red on the same paper as the background DSP, which is from Kaisercraft's Silver Bells 6x6 pad.   I added some washi from my stash (very old!), some Tim Holtz holly leaves diecut from silver glimmer paper and a sentiment from Sweet & Sassy stamped in Smoky Slate:

Another card for my stash!

And another batch of goodies from the giant Halloween box...some REALLY COOL shaker stickers (Grammy might have to confiscate these for herself!):

A fun little glow-in-the-dark ghost hand sanitizer:

and sour patch pumpkins, which she shared with all her Sunday School class!

Thanks for popping in today!

TMS375 and SIP71 Thoughts of You

Happy Wednesday, all! Hope your week is going well!  I have a really quick little card today, it's a get-well card actually, using the Stamp Ink Paper color combo along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch:

sip-color-challenge-71-800

I pulled out some of the In Color DSPs from last year and went to work:

This is a great sketch!  I added a little background stamping (Timeless Textures), a stitched leaf from Lawn Fawn, a stitched tag from Simon Says Stamp (Bundle of Stitched Shapes) and a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs (Mini Tag Sentiments).  I finished it off with some baker's twine that I unraveled so it wouldn't be so thick!  Easy, fresh & fun!

Here's Cassidy digging into her treasure trove from my friend!

Right on top...a big haul of candy!

I made a deal with her; for every piece of candy she ate, she had to eat a piece of fruit, too!  Since she loves fruit, it's not much of a concession!  Enjoy your day and thanks for popping in!

TSOT

Hi peeps!  It's time for another Try Stampin On Tuesday sketch challenge; again, this month we are focusing on Christmas; the optional technique is paper piercing!  So here's the sketch:

And here is my take on it!  I chose not to do the paper piercing, but I did choose colors that I don't normally use for Christmas!  This is Delightful Dijon, Crumb Cake and gold:

I started by embossing the cardbase with the Woodgrain embossing folder, then added panels from Kaisercraft's Home for Christmas line....the burlap-looking piece is actually paper!  I added some gold glimmer and brushed gold trim, some gold twine, and I heat-embossed a Papertrey sentiment (O Holy Night) in gold embossing powder.

And I stamped the inside with the another sentiment from the same set in Gold Encore ink....so sad when SU discontinued that!

So I hope that you'll play along with our sketch....you can submit your creation on our blog, or why not try out our Facebook page!  Can't wait to see what you create!

My sweet friend Renita sent Cassidy a BIG box full of Halloween goodies!  First, she had to read the card:

She could read almost all the words herself!  I'll share more of the goodies later!
