ColourQ 177

DSCF2918

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has an adorable inspiration for her ColourQ  today:

Just makes me grin all over!  I immediately thought of the little dog in Animal Talk, and I remembered some plaid DP I had in a Christmas stack:

LeAnne_CQC177

I stamped the image and sentiment in Cherry Cobbler, then again on a scrap in Stazon, then colored it with markers, cut it out and popped it up:

I added a fun ribbon and jumbo eyelet embellishment, and finished it with the matching sentiment on the inside:

My friend Martha sent me a cute little moustache card, which Cassidy found fascinating:

She put it on the floor and told me it was a tent!!!

Merry Monday 50

DSCF2977

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a good weekend!  Today’s Merry Monday challenge is to make an elegant Christmas card:

I got this beautiful image recently from my friend Martha, and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge!  Here we go:

MM50-LeAnne-2

It was stamped in Midnight Muse; mounted on a piece of silver glimmer paper, then mounted on a Midnight Muse card base.  This is the easiest card I’ve ever made…and look how gorgeous it is with its beautiful Dazzling Diamonds glitter (hard to see, so you’ll have to take my word for it!):

Just to show that “elegant” doesn’t have to be complicated!  I hope you’ll find some time to play along with us this week with your elegant creation!  It’s great to have your Christmas cards started!!!!  Be sure to stop over at the Always Playing with Paper blog to see the other designers’ creations as well!

Wrapping up the babies!

Paper Players 133

DSCF2906

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Today’s challenge is brought to you by Anne Marie!  Here you go:

Oooh, what a fun challenge!  CAS, buttons, bows, babies….how cute can you get?  I pulled out Every Little Bit’s teddy bear for my card, along with a scrap of pink gingham paper, as I know I will be needing a little girl baby card very soon!

PP133-LeAnne

(I seem to be using this Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder a lot lately!!)  I made a paper heart-shaped button and tied a bow with some white organdy ribbon…..my teddy is stamped in Stazon and colored with an aquapainter and inks, then cut out and popped up:

Squeal!  I love this!  CAS = easy!!!  I hope you’ll play along with us this week….we can’t wait to see what you create!  Check out what the other designers did as well over at the Paper Players blog!  Any questions….shoot me an email!

Cassidy and Grampy spent some time together building a tower:

Kick Up Yer Heels!

DSCF2972-001

Happy Saturday!  Today is my daughter’s birthday – it’s a big one!!!  I got this stamp set back when the new SU catalog came out, just because I knew I could use this image for her….she loves to country line dance!!!

DSCF2972

I used a tag from Two Tags and mounted my paper-pieced cowboy boots on top….added a glimmer brad and some ribbon and twine, and it’s done!  BTW, when I got this stamp, I cut the sentiment apart from the boot image…..I like being able to stamp it anywhere I want!!!

This is also for the Catered Crop Polka Dot Recipe Swap challenge!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day, Cassidy and Grampy played in the sandbox!  Grampy helped Cassidy make a “cake”!!!

TSOT 105

DSCF2980

It’s Friday, yay!!!  I have a pretty card to show you using a Valentine stamp, but it isn’t necessarily a Valentine card!  I used the sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday:

and some pretty Porcelain Basic Grey paper to make my card:

DSCF2979

I did some stitching; some embossing; and some stamping!  This was such a fun sketch….I want to make a few more!  I used the heart from PS: I Love You, and a PTI sentiment.

DSCF2981

I also want to show you the Valentine card Cassidy “stamped” for her mom:

DSCF2978

She glued on the embossed heart all by herself, and stamped the images with a little help from Grammy!  We had to do some practice first, though!

PPA152 and FMS73 for Valentine’s Day!

DSCF2945-001

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope everyone gets lots of “sweetness” today!  For my project today, I chose some sweet colors from the Pals Paper Arts challenge:

PrimrosePoolRed

I wanted to make a special treat bag for my daughter to take to work; I saved this little pancake mix bag that we had gotten in a gift basket for Christmas:

DSCF2934

(They were yummy, too!)  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

to transform my bag!

DSCF2946

I wheeled the background and used some images from Artistic Etchings as well as the Spring mini set Collage Curios; the doily was a little too big to fit my panel, so I pleated it a bit and added my heart, butterfly and key embellishments:

DSCF2947

And of course, it is filled with some yummy goodies!

For a friend of mine who LOVES chocolate, I made a heart candy kiss holder after seeing this on Martha Stewart’s website:

It’s a bit difficult to see, but it has two little petal-shaped pockets; I made this one out of some heavier-weight DP from my “other” friend Martha!!  I started out with a 6x6” square, followed the directions for folding and cutting it out, and then embellished it with some little doodads and a pretty gingham ribbon.  There is a video that you can see here that explains the process a little more clearly than on the MS website.

Finally, this little treat came from my sweet friend Frenchie….she sent this all the way from Florida for Cassidy:

It’s adorable!  Thanks so much, Frenchie!  Thanks, all, for visiting today!

Trying to get that last little flake out of the breakfast bowl!
