Paper Players 110

DSCF6280-002

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s my turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and I’ve got a sketch for you!

This is a fun, versatile sketch---feel free to use any shape for your central image, and you can even flip it like I did here:

PP110-LeAnne

I used the new Winter Memories set from the Holiday Mini for my monochromatic card.  I think that Island Indigo is such a pretty color for this image!  And since I didn’t color anything in, it was quick to make, too!  I embossed my white background with the Snowburst EF and added some sparkly Glimmer paper for extra pizzazz!

DSCF6281

And of course, bling and glitter make everything better too!  I hope you’ll be able to use this sketch for one of your own creations, and share it with us on the Paper Players blog!  I’d be thrilled if you would check out what the other designers are sharing as well!

See you next week!

Season of Mists

DSCF6277

Happy Saturday peeps!  I have a pretty fall card for you today---this Impression Obsession stamp is one I fell in love with and just HAD to have and this is the first time getting it inky!

DSCF6311

I used one of my favorite layouts, stamped the images in Palette Noir and colored them with Copics.  The faint leaf image behind the sentiment was stamped in Versamark and very, very lightly brushed with some pastel chalk.  These images fit nicely in the 1” square punch and I used the Postage Stamp punch for the borders in Early Espresso.  DP is Orchard Harvest.

Even though I’ll be taking a little blogging break next week….some well-deserved R&R coming up…… I will still be hosting the Paper Players tomorrow, so be sure to pop in to see my sketch challenge and play along!

Cassidy wanted to show Grampy what she finally learned to do:

Christmas Card Stamp Camp Cards

Here are three of the cards we made recently at my Christmas in August stamp camp.  I usually keep my cards very simple, but we do use the Big Shot a lot, and I try to introduce new sets and projects wherever I can!   These are all easy to duplicate, not too thick to mail, and are fun to make!

If you have any questions about anything, just shoot me an email!

Speaking of Big Shots, my friend Athena lent me hers to use for this camp and I had it on the floor, waiting to return it to her.  Guess who decided to use it:

She knew just how to crank it, too!!!  She’ll be making a card soon!

Mojo 255 Baby Card

DSCF6314

A sweet simple little card for you today, one I made for an upcoming baby shower.  I found some pretty MME papers from the Nostalgia line that I thought were subtle enough for a baby card (she’s having a girl!) and added the vintage baby coach image from Puns from the Past:

DSCF6315

SU’s Primrose Petals was a perfect match for the rosy color of my polka dotted strip—such a sweet color!  A little sentiment from PTI with some crochet trim and faux eyelet….it was done!  Almost forgot; it uses the Mojo Monday sketch #255, to which I pretty much stayed true:

Thanks for visiting today!

My daughter ran upstairs to change her clothes from work and came back downstairs to find Cassidy in the bathroom:

In the bathroom SINK, to be exact  She climbed up on the toilet and on to the counter and into the sink.  I think we have a monkey on our hands!

Perfectly Preserved

DSCF6264

Just a real quick post today---yesterday I spent most of the day getting ready for a Christmas card stamp camp, and I’ll post a couple of them later in the week, but I did have a chance to CASE a simple but fun card I had pinned by Tammy Fite using the new set Perfectly Preserved and the pretty Orchard Harvest DP:

DSCF6265

The closed view features the jar image stamped with Stazon on a transparency sheet and topped with a plaid topper.  When you open the card you see this:

I’ll put a sentiment at the top of the inside when I decide what I want to use it for!  I made a mask with a post-it note to stamp my sweet little apples!  I did a couple more and I can’t wait to share them with you as well!

I was playing around with some of the features from Picasa:

ColourQ151

DSCF6190-001

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Another ColourQ challenge is upon us….check out this awesome palette from Arielle:

cqc151

I have been impatiently awaiting a time that I could ink up a cute little Halloween set I got at the end of last year, and this seemed like a good time!

LeAnne_CQC151-001

I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her with Copics.  The cute little sentiment is a gift from my friend Martha!!  I love it!  And can you see the little stars surrounding her?

DSCF6191

They were stamped in Versamark, then heat embossed with Heat & Stick powder, then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and reheated!!  Cute!  It also uses the RetroSketches sketch 25 from this week:

I so hope you can play along with this fun challenge, and make sure you fly on over to the ColourQ blog to see what how the other designers interpreted these colors!  FUN stuff!

Cassidy loves to help fill the bird feeders:

And while we were playing on the patio the other day, I managed to snap this unusual shot:

Unusual for ME, at least…these little hummers are fast!

Merry Monday 29

DSCF6073

Happy Monday, peeps!  Time for another Merry Monday sketch from Lesley:

I was uber-lazy in making this card, as I already had this image printed out and “filed” in my “Vintage Christmas” folder….so I put it to use:

Merry Monday 29 - LeAnne

I stamped my background with SU’s Music Notes wheel and an image from Crafty Secrets, then added my panels after punching the snowflake border and backing them with SU’s new Champagne Glimmer paper!  So pretty!  I hope you can play along with this fun sketch too!  Lots of possibilities with those panels and main image!  Be sure to come see what the other designers have created as well!

Cassidy’s new doll stroller needed some TLC, so I got out my stash of safety pins, which she immediately wanted to play with:

It never ceases to amaze me at what occupies her!!!

Paper Players 109

DSCF6172-002

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s time for another Paper Players challenge, with Anne Marie as our hostess!  She’s got a clean and simple challenge with a twist for us:

Surprisingly, I didn’t have too many stamps that were “pieceable”!!!  But I did find this little goose in the Storybook Friends set that lent itself to being pieced quite nicely!  It also fit in with the sketch challenge 137  from Stampin’ Royalty:

I did flip the sketch so that my goose wasn’t looking off the page!  Here ya go:

PP109-LeAnne

Not the most CAS card, but I did have some of these pieces already sitting on my desk, so there was a lot of simple going on!  Papers are from Floral District and Summer Smooches with Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango cardstocks.

I did a little curvy banner with the Itty Bitty Banners die, and stamped my scalloped circle with A to Z.

Cassidy got a “new-to-her” doll stroller for her birthday:

US172 Sympathy

DSCF6186

Happy Saturday!  The weatherman lied last night; he said today was going to be rainy, but it is absolutely beautiful here today—cool and sunny, so I plan to do some activities outside!  First, though, I had to make a sympathy card…a dear friend at church passed away suddenly, so this is for her family:

DSCF6185

It uses the Unscripted Sketches sketch#172:

There was a piggyback color challenge, but I chose to keep to the neutral hues of this beautiful MME Be Amazing-Follow your Heart papers.  I used shades of Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, and Going Gray, and SU’s Papaya Collage, Nature Walk, French Foliage, and Established Elegance for my images and a Papertrey sentiment:

An Our Daily Bread Bible verse for the inside:

If you have any questions, please send me an email!  And be sure to come back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge!

I made Cassidy a mini cupcake for her birthday….she licked all the icing off and she was done!

That’s the best part anyway!  Enjoy your day!
